Sorry Missed the vital bit of info…
We want to use DMF to do this in the background. It works fine if we do it manually and AMA link but if we set up a workflow to do it then it doesn't.

What protocol are you using for your network? I have had no problems AMAing to files on both AFP and SMB mounts. What happens when you try?
