Nothing scary. I put 4 4TB Hitachi Deskstars in my MacPro. 3 raided for 12 TB. No problems after more than a year. I don't work the system 24/7 but I would suggest the 4TB at least. Shop around I think I've found the 4TB for as little as $159.00 although $189 to $199 are more common prices. Make sure the Raid box can support 4TB drives. I've had certain external enclosures that won't support 4TB on FW 800 but do with Esata. I think it has to do with the chipsets etc... but I'm not an expert on the subject.
