Btw, some legacy 3rd party plug-ins and those like Avid fx will still require that your dongle be attached, even if you've converted to an Avid software license.

I took advantage of Avid's end-of-year special and purchased upgrades for our 3 Mac Media Composers. It's been so long since I've done an Avid+MacOS upgrade I thought I'd better double-check here to make sure I'm not missing anything. Snafu avoidance tips greatly appreciated!
Deauthorize MC 6
Uninstall MC
Uninstall AJA IO
Disk Utility check
Verify backups
Upgrade MacOS from 10.6.8 to 10.8.5
Install MC (7.0.4)
Install AJA IO
Install AMA plugins
Am I forgetting anything?
