[Avid-L2] Re: Positive Avid support experience

 

I recently purchased the support upgrade for x3 MC and x1 MC w/ Symphony dongle licenses. All but one went fine - the one that was real trouble was originally an Xpress Pro dongle. Marianna Montague put me in touch w/ Andrew R. from Avid support - he was able to bake a custom updater file that finally did the job. Now all x4 are updated, current and working - yeah!

No doubt with the flux of recent upgrades, Avid was bound to encounter some challenges, such as my dongle presented. I just wanted to post my thanks, and confidence that Avid truly does care about small customers like myself. As with this one dongle, sometimes it takes a bit of extra digging, and patience on our part, but nice to experience the extra effort Avid extends when necessary.
