shop.avid.com, and you see "Media Composer Upgrades" right there. Click it.
You'll see three options.
Since are already on MC7 with Symp option, you need the MC to MC upgrade. The SY to MC upgrade is for those on SY 6.5 or earlier.
As soon as you pay for the upgrade, it will show up in your Avid Master Account. At that point, you will be covered.
But to actually use the upgrade, there are two more steps:
There will be an option to Validate your System ID there, and you should fill in the System ID of the system you want to tie the support/upgrade plan to.
There's a big chance that you will then see a notice that your support plan is ON HOLD because Customer Support needs to manually check that this license is yours. Takes one business day, usually. When it gets through, you'll see an activation code (for SW licenses), a dongle updater link, and links to download the installer.
BEFORE YOU INSTALL, please read: http://community.avid.com/forums/t/131542.aspx

I'm trying to find the download to upgrade one of my existing 7.0.4 MC/Symphonys to v8 for $299. I can't seem to find it online.
