And be sure to put in color bars that are at the wrong level. I'm amazed at the times I've gone in to fix other editors work when QC found a dead pixel and then I look at the color bars and they ere imported at the wrong level but QC didn't notice that at all.

Do a 1:1 conform (speed up) of the original 23.98 sequence to 29.97 and hold the last frame for however many minutes it takes to make up the remainder of the program time. Don't even pitch correct the audio.
The QC monkey will be so amazed at how smooth the video looks he won't notice.
