Re: [Avid-L2] [FR] Keyboard Slipping & Sliding Buttons

If it became option and shift that's probably because it was shift and alt on a PC.  Just speculating but I remember a few versions back they changed certain keystrokes so there was parity between mac and PC.  With the obvious changes of alt=option and cmd=ctrl.  Perhaps where the change you mention happened?

Option was OK.
Some time ago they made it Option and Shift . . . who knows why.
Mysteries abound.

right to left selecting goes in to slip, but you used to be able to option lasso to go in to slide and that seems to have disappeared.

A button for this would be great. I think it could just work like Mark Clip. What it slips or slides depends on the selected tracks and the placement of the timeline locator.

Feature Request:
Buttons for entering Slip and Slide.

Ideally works when in either Src/Rec mode or Trim Mode.
From Src/Rec mode it would put you into Trim mode like
Go to Previous/Next Edit do.

I imagine it working with the same logic as Match Frame:
Park on the segment, and MC pays attention to
selected track(s) or top-most selected track.

To slide multiple segments you would place I/O marks with
the same logic programmed for "Select Between Marks."

Cheers!
