So for 299USD, the dongle will be upgraded to a *perpetual* MC 8.x licence? (i.e. the software will continue to work indefinitely after the upgrades and support stop?)

Also, what's the procedure for upgrading and old dongle like mine? All I can find on the (UK) Avid store page is the full perpetual licence or monthly subscription.

The $ 499 was if you had Avid hardware tied to the MC like an adrenaline. Since our hardware isn't tied to the system any longer, the $100 fee would apply.

I will poke the folks that need to redo that page.......

Job is spot on.... any MC ( except meridian) can upgrade to MC 8.x for $299 and get a year of upgrades and support. :)
