It must be more than QT legacy because if I do a video mixdown in Avid then export a QT ref and let QT Pro 7 do the conversion it only takes about an hours. Unless Avid was really lying to me about th 16 hours, which was after I made the mixdowns there is something else going on. Perhaps the 960x540 frame size has issues as has been suggested. If I could just send them a VHS tape I'd be done with this BS just for a screener with overlays and time code burn in. I miss my linear bay sometimes more than others and this is one of them. ;-)
PS: I know the levels and the conversion may be crappy but it should do the job for the people screening it.
