I am rebuilding an old SD 4x3 project in HD 16x9. The original project has dozen of Animatte effects. Now in HD the Animatte effect is stretching to 16x9. I don't want it to and I can't find anyway to change this, or reformat the layer that does not drill through to the background layer. The Animatte effect does not follow the aspect of the fill layer, but rather the project Aspect, which in HD can only be set to 16x9.
Any ideas that might help me reformat the Animatte effect or isolate this from the background?
Maybe I could replace all the fill clips with white in an SD project, and render this out in black and white, and then reapply this as a standard matte in HD over the separately rendered HD fill layer with both set to pillar box?
Cheers,
tod
