I like the sequence based multigroup approach. Find a sync issue go back and adjust the multigroup sequence and you're back in business. Now I would think that would require something akin to the refresh motion adapters feature so that existing cuts aren't changed until this is refreshed. Now where does this master multigroup sequence live and how is it managed so there aren't conflicting versions to reference to. That's where things start to get sticky so the devil may be in the details.
I think the real battle is dealing with, "In a world where 24 "GoPros" covering a scene is NOT uncommon." Really you need 24 toy cameras to cover a scene? Of course I'm sure there are times that dictate that but those times would be uncommon to me. Perhaps I sit in a dark room too much. I guess a bunch of contestants with POV go pros might be more common than I would have thought. I'll take the coverage of one of the old Eye on LA crews any day over a gazillion go pros and I'll have the show done before you've even finished grouping. ;-) Dinosaurs rule! Up with the BenGay Crowd. We don't need no stinking tinker toy cameras. ;-o Time for a nap now.
