Sorry that it's happening to you; but, I must admit that I am glad to read that someone else has noticed this.
I have also found playback of the HQ files to struggle as compared to ProRes 422. I end up transcoding to DNxHD 115/145, which is our usual.
Running MC 7.0.3 on a 2012 12-core MacPro, OS 10.7.5. Media is on Unity MediaNet via Fiber, or local internal two-drive SATA RAID 0.
