[Avid-L2] Vanishing Waveforms

I'm having a helluva morning… I always cut with Audio Data set to Waveforms and Volume. Makes life a whole lot easier. But suddenly the waveforms in the timeline just vanished. There's just a single thin, gray line across all clips. No matter how many times I restart the app, restart the computer, reselect the Audio Data, etc., the waveforms don't come back. Any help here?

I'm on MC 7.0.4, on OS 10.7.5, 2 x 2.66 Ghz 6-Core Intel with 16 GB memory.
