No BOB. I need to be able to do this without a video card. I want to see full screen Avid playback on an iMac. Does it work? Or do I need a second monitor hooked up via Thunderbolt, then the Full Screen Playback goes to THAT monitor? I want to see the Avid Sequence or Source monitor full screen on the iMac. I'm assuming it doesn't work that way.
Steve, do you have some kind of BOB attached?IIRC, if you do then that will not be a selection unless you set MC to be SW only -- isn't there a button for that now in the Timeline window? I work SW only so much I forget!BOn Jun 11, 2014, at 6:13 AM, "Steve Hullfish steve4lists@veralith.com [Avid-L2]" <Avid-L2@yahoogroups.com> wrote:I have always had computers with video cards so I have never used the full screen playback.
Now I am working on a brand new iMac with MC8 and Mavericks.
I have the settings in the Settings List set to Full Screen, but at the moment I only have the iMac screen. Do I need a second monitor to do full screen playback? I want to be able to occasionally show the director the footage full screen.
When I right click on the sequence monitor, the Full Screen option is greyed out. Is that because I don't have a second monitor?
Rookie questions, I know. I'll get up to speed on Media Composer soon though. :-) This is way different than FCP-X, I'll tell ya.
