[Avid-L2] Graphics Card Recommendations

Since 2012, the Nvidia driver included in MacOSX has included support for both Mac and PC Cards.  The only difference between a PC Card and a Mac card is that PC cards lack EFI...which is necessary to get the gray Apple bootscreens.

This post gives a lot of information about it.

As I stated in my original post, I am using a PC Nvidia GTX 470 (decent economical CUDA card in its day), no mods or hacks, and it works at full speed and is recognized by Adobe and Resolve.  This card was never available in a Mac version.

Most?  Is anyone out there testing this systematically?  I deduce from this thread that several people have had good experiences running PC bios GTX 680.  Is the experience with other cards as good?

Cheers,
