If we are talking about producing stills for print you have to calibrate your monitors one way.  Same is true for stills for web design.  Or digital signage.

If, on the other hand, the room is singularly dedicated to producing work for television that's fairly well spelled out in various standards. 

So can I rely on Wizards to offer me reasonable choices in lay person's terms or do I need to learn more about these various standards so that I can select between them?  Or maybe just carefully select the wizards I can trust?

Are my questions already beyond what most wizards offer?  The Wizard tutorial I looked at yesterday gave two options, which were something like "general use" and "gaming" or something like that.
