Client is using the latest AMA plugin for HDCAM SR (apparently beta release) on a z820, 16GB RAM, MC7.0.3, ISIS/IP on Win7, 64bit.
The link to AMA for the SStP files works well but on transcode to DNxHD 36 (its a 1080p@23.976 project), the RAM usage goes up so much that eventually, it maxes out and the app crashes. Once that happens, the OS gets back to normal, and you can continue to work in Windows and even launch MC and edit. Continuing the transcode however, will get you the same result. The BIOS settings are fine, the nVidia is fine and there isn't any thing else running on the system.
We can recreate this on several z820's with this build. But on a z820 with MC 6.5.4.x, the RAM usage also maximises but the transcodes go happily to the end.
Anyone seen anything similar?
