Here's an idea that might save you a small amount of time: copy the folders in the Finder to your Avid project folder, then delete the files inside. Then you'll have folders set up with their names ready to go in the Avid project, and then you can create a bin inside each folder to do your linking.
Like I said, maybe saves a little time, but if you have a bunch, it might be worth it.On Fri, Apr 25, 2014 at 10:48 AM, Dan McCabe <danlist@bestmail.us> wrote:
Thanks Luca. That's good tip but it is missing the point of my post which is to maintain the folder structure that is outside the AVID, inside the AVID rather than importing everything to one bin and then having to rebuild all the folders (and individual bins) again. On Thu, Apr 24, 2014, at 06:17 AM, luca_gazzolo@yahoo.com wrote:You can import from different subfolders at once: open the top folder and search for *.mov files, or the proper extension, in the search results window select all the files You wish to import, drag and drop them in an Avid bin, don't forget to set Your import preferences as for target disk and resolution first; there's not such a technique for AMA linking that I know of however.
