[Avid-L2] Sony MSW-M2000 Anc LTC Time Code Output during Avid Preview?

After all my rental deck issues yesterday they came back with a Sony MSW-M2000 to replace the F-500.  I've spent less time on these machines but I found the settings I usually tweak and it's working.  I noticed when I preview a digital cut the LTC read out on my Panny monitor stops during the preview.  During a digital cut it updates with the proper time code.  I think I've seen this behavior on imx record decks in the past but it's been a  while since I worked with one.  This deck is definitely of the imx style deck so maybe this is just how it works.  I've got time code set to int regin LTC.  The outputs are fine just curious if I'm missing a setting somewhere.  It's just a little disturbing to see the time code stop at the preview edit point.  I don't recall if it goes to zeros but it isn't anything like a jam synced value that pops up at the preview point.  It looks like the anc time code the monitor is decoding just disappears at the preview point.  Can anybody confirm or deny.  I forgot to look at my tek scope anc time code reader, that will be my next step.
