[Avid-L2] Re: My take on NAB

<<Too much "Everywhere or Anywhere" cliche stuff going one as manufacturers rush to make it easier to outsource our jobs.>>

Maybe we'll be calling it 'Anywhere, but not in my back yard' once all our jobs have gone!

I must admit that it does seem that Avid are standing still when it comes to software development, especially when you see what's happening with the likes of Resolve and Nuke Studio. Watching the NAB stream from the Foundry I was impressed by how much effort they put into talking to clients (and I mean Editors/Compositors, rather than the heads of big, corporate companies) to find out what we actually want in our software. With that sort of philosophy, it's not surprising that Nuke has become the first choice for much of the VFX industry. I wish Avid would send someone over to the UK to talk to the development team at Foundry HQ to explain to them what listening to their customers is really all about.
Makes me proud to be British!
