[Avid-L2] Re: Cannon 5D ama really basic dumb question?

The C100 uses a different recording format than the C300 or the HDSLR cameras. Hence the AVC and not XF MFX or H264 QT codec. I have no idea what "true video" means. The 5D camera use a line skipping system to get from the larger sensor format does to 1080. Maybe that's what he means.

Is there something about the scan rate, if that is the proper term that would make this a True Video Sensor vs. the sensor on a 5D?
