Curiously, I just tried both increasing my ram from 16 to 24gb, and playing off an SSD drive connected through a thunderbolt dock yesterday. I am trying to play via AMA clips recorded at 50mbps with a Panasonic Lumix GH3. That codec has always been a problem, but it seemed to get better with the latest plug-in. I am working on MC 6.0.5. The increase in RAM helped slightly, but the playback still hiccups every few seconds. Then I added the SSD drive, and it didn't help at all! Anyone have any experience with this? Do I just have to upgrade to MC7 to overcome this issue? Thanks, Steve
