I'm trying to get out of DVD previews as most theaters around here can now show Blu Rays. I first thought about getting a burner for the Mac Pro tower, but then realized that between exporting / converting / burning, it's going to be half a day wasted when I could just pop in a blank disc in a recorder hooked to the HDMI output of my Matrox and record it live, in real time. It's for previews, so I can get away with a couple of dropped frames along the way.
Does that sound like a good idea to you? And if yes, any recommendation for a decent Blu Ray deck that would do a good job? Or should I stick to export/compress/burn?
Thanks, Pierre
