Hmm. Try copying the card contents to the desktop and linking there instead of the card itself. I remember that working with media that refused to link before (likely a permissions problem).
Also, try specifically selecting the AVCHD AMA Plugin in the link dialog pulldown menu instead of relying on the automatic selection.I've also seen issues when people have more than one version of the same AMA plugin installed at one time. Be sure you don't.
Just thinking out loud with some of this. It generally just works for me, and I have not experienced AMA problems to this degree in a long time. Just lucky, I guess.

Have you tried using AMA to link to the files? I think you'll have
better luck linking and then transcoding your selects to DNxHD. --J.B.

Second that. AMA then transcode is the way to go. Just make sure you have
the correct AMA plugin installed.
Thanks John Beck and John Pale for the quick replies. I did try AMA selecting
the P2 folder that contains "Contents" and "Lasclip.txt". The error
message was, "Unable to link to any clips at folder location". I noted at
Avid.com/AMA that P2 AMA v4.0 (the latest) only works up to MC version 7.0.2.
I reloaded the P2 AMA exe file and it did work after crashing with the first
attempt to link needing to do a hard reboot (thanks. P2 down, two to go).
The AVCHD AMA page lists version 1.3, you can download version 1.2, but it
only works on MC version 7.0. I could not install the AVCHD AMA 1.2 file for
this reason (error message that MC 7.0.3 is not supported). Still for the
AF-100 camera files, I could link to files 000, 001, and 002 but not the two
larger files 003 and 004. Nothing linked for the AC90 camera files. I looked
to download and reinstall an earlier version of MC but could not accomplish.
Any other suggestions? I've made progress with the P2 files but not AVCHD.
David.
P.S. My ProMax warranty ended long ago and I do not have a support contract.
