Gang synchronizers are the best for explaining sync. Makes it really clear to the people I describe it to what sync is all about. Not just in film work but NLEs and even when explaining Video sync signals etc... Nothing like locking something with sprocket holes into the teeth on the synchronizer to give a nice visual for locking things together.
