Re: [Avid-L2] Making Batch Import Smarter

The thing that I am doing that I haven't done in the past is bringing an ALE file into a bin to create the clips, then batch importing. It isn't reimporting.

More typically I created the bin within Avid, imported scratch versions to create the clips, then batched in final versions.

That's why I wonder if there is some piece of information missing from the ALE clip info.

If I have a moment I may try importing the files directly, exporting an ALE and comparing the two to see if there is something in the AVID created clips that is missing from the ALE created clips.

That's the only reason I can see for it not working. I have done the bulk reimport in 7 and it worked. The old method of select all, then when you point to the matching file that is the first elected, the rest that are in the same folder automatically relink.
