Make sure to add ".avb" extension to any bin you bring in. When going from 10.6.8 with 5.5.x they may not have a .avb extension and that makes them disappear in later systems. I don't think that addresses your segmentation fault error but I've had to do that going up to 10.8.x systems with V 6.5.x.
