My 2009 MacPro refused to start this morning. I have an appointment at the "Genius Bar" tomorrow afternoon, but was thinking maybe it's time to update the 8-core beast. There are many options but I've considered
1. Just have it fixed - my guess is the power supply
2. Buy a refurbished 2012 12-core and just transfer the HDs over and move on
3. Buy the fastest iMac and go
4. Use my 4-core 2011 MBpro with external display until things settle down with the new MacPro, meaning it's available and supported by Avid. That could be months
Thoughts?
