Personally I've been very happy with v7 so I'll be cutting avid some slack until I see that it doesn't run as fast as fcpx on a new Mac Pro.
At which point i will help get the pitchforks and 'you had one job' complaints will flow.
In the meantime I'm turning my computer off for three days so happy holidays.
