If I remember correctly, when Alexa was released it was ProRes only
(along with Arri's own RAW). Eventually, DNXHD was added. But the
spotlight and thunder have long passed. Avid missed another marketing
opportunity. To this day, I still run in to more ProRes files from Alexa
shoots than DNXHD, though almost all of these Alexa projects are Avid
bound.
And look at the microsite. ProRes is mentioned, (even if Alexa plans to
add DNXHD later?). Post production starts at the camera.
