I have been able to add drives in the media pool without adding them and having to restart on a mac. I assume you are talking about adding the drives in the setup area, or whatever section it is so they show up blue,on a mac. Should I not be able to put files into the media pool from drives not set up that way? I'm pretty sure I have.
