I've tried to refresh my mind on booting in 64 or 32 bit kernal on Macs. I seem to recall that there was some mode where the mac new what apps are 64 bit and those that are 32 and would act accordingly but I don't remember the specifics or if that even makes sense. I read how some kernal extensions aren't 64 bit compatible but I'm really sketchy. Can someone help me understand?
