Hi Dennis, I am on Mac, yes I did that, many times, with no luck. When I
activate online with the license tool, it simply hangs and stays on
"activating" for hours. When I do the offline activation the license file
that I receive says not valid.
Any thoughts?

license but when I go to activate the 6.0 it errors out. I have tried direct
activation and indirect (another computer). No luck either way.!
I offer:
You don't say if you're Mac or PC, but if you are on a Mac, you should
uninstall 6.5 then install 6.0. Deactivating the license is not enough (as
you've found out).
