Wow. This is tremendously helpful. It's exactly what we are seeing. We
have been reduced to creating all graphics as QuickTime as a workaround,
which wastes a lot of time and disk space when you are dealing with
hundreds of graphics in a sports series.
The point made about illegal spikes in transients is a good one, but this
should not require a hidden console command to turn off.
No other NLE does this. We have never had a rejection for transients on
this series when using Quicktimes, which don't have the filter applied. I
realize that might not be true for all broadcasters, but this needs to be
optional. Again...no other NLE adds this filter, and stuff is obviously
getting on the air that wasn't edited on Avid.
