Unfortunately, it seems Avid fired the developers who could have conceivably updated the ~15-year old Symphony Color Correct tool -- or the ~18-year old Title Tool.
In the past, the rationale for this approach was dead simple -- why should we expend resources updating the titling or color correction features of a preeminent, enterprise-level editing tool? Right?
And like an ostrich with its head buried in the sand, they perpetuated this foolish attitude while a new breed of competitors publicly kicked their a$$.
Thousands of customer Feature Requests later, and they still haven't 'got the memo'. It would almost be comical -- if it weren't so sad and pathetic.
However, now it would seem the resources simply don't exist. Maybe the only free resources are web designers -- hence the useless marketplace and the patently false webpages promoting seamless integration of the Avid Artist Color.
Someone tell me the name of another professional, enterprise-level software product that hasn't had some of its critical core features upgraded in 15-18 years. I'm guessing the reason I can't think of one -- is because that company would be out of business by now.
