I'm hoping someone can point me to a flaw in my workflow here - --
Shot a seminar yesterday. XDCam EX. 2 cameras.
I re-wrapped the MPEG2 files to MXF using the Sony software, and
imported the MXF into Avid. Overnight, I transcoded everything to
DNxHD. Today I cut one 16 minute segment - I have 4 more to go. It's a
really really basic edit, with color correction applied to match the
cameras. When I try to export to Sorenzen to encode for YouTube, it
tells me that the export will take 13 hours because I have to render the
video effects.
If I were doing this in Premiere, I would already be working on my next
little sequence and finished up by 5pm, and headed for happy hour, but
at this rate, I'll be working all weekend. I MUST be doing something
wrong. Can anyone offer any pointers?
Thanks
Mark
