I have been asked to recommend a mid-range HD-SDI grading monitor for a Resolve setup. It seems like for the price the 25" Sony PVM OLED isn't a terrible choice. The dealer that this,client uses is,suggesting the 24" JVC Verite, which is a little cheaper.
I believe both of these are limited to a Rec 709 gamut, not ideal but I don't see it as a deal-breaker. Are the formerly-desirable Panasonic Plasmas also limited to Rec 709 if driven by either
The overpriced HD SDI card or by HDMI? Any other choices, like the HP Dreamcolor with adapter?
This is mostly for grading archival film scans.
Any good advice appreciated!
