[Avid-L2] Grid lock importing User Settings on V 6

I know, I know, I know, always rebuild your user setting on new Avid versions.  I know, I know, I know.  Have I routinely done this.  No, No, No!  Why?  Because I'm a Bone, Bone, Bonehead.  Well here's an FYI on V6 where I did have to rebuild my work spaces because of the change in structure but I still imported my user settings and just deleted the appropriate layouts that did get translated to the new format but still were quirky.  I've been having problems getting my safe title etc... grid to appear white.  I finally realized it was from my hold over settings import.  Creating a new test user and importing it's grid settings solved the problem.  I would assume this has something to do with the change interface color choices etc...  Bottom line the seemingly harmless grid settings need to be recreated.  Of course since everybody always rebuilds their user setting with new versions I'm sure nobody else will experience this issue.  ;-)  But
just in case keep this in mind.  Of course typing this email takes almost as much time as rebuilding my settings from scratch but that's just too logical for me to process right now.  Besides I like to live on the edge, it's just how I roll, downhill just like my career.  ;-)
