Sorry for the late reply. I've been on a big FCP job on another machine the last few days and was just now able to test MC/Decklink again. This is with MC 6.5 Mac.
I have no instability. With Caps Lock on, I can mouse-scrub or keyboard-scrub without issue in standard play and in trim. The only problem is that the trim mode is VERY SLOW to update.

You can hold down the Shift key when you need it. Or slow-play JKL for analog "reel rocking" (K+J or K+L).
FWIW - running with Caps Lock on has historically been something that slows down MC's performance since the beginning.
