Not sure if this helps - I'm working on an offline/online workflow for students. AMA link to 5D H264 or AVCHD from our Panasonics. Transcode to an Avid SD resolution to save space. Edit. Decompose. Switch to 1080 format. AMA link to original files in bin(s) Select all including decomposed sequence. Use 'Relink to selected items in all open bins'. Sequence is linked to HD originals. Transcode or mixdown for out put. Not checked TC issues, however. I see that there is a specific mention of AMA in the 6.0.x Relink dialogue. Gone in 6.5.
