[Avid-L2] Re: AMA relinking issues with MC 6.5

 

We are seeing the same problem. Sometimes means eye-matching an hour-long or two hour-long doc. Thought we had it isolated to Mac vs PC, but that didn't pan out. Very difficult to isolate from the middle of multiple deadlines. Appears to be coming from just one of our producers who is on 5.x. Reported as a bug to Avid, but no love solving it yet.

> Agreed. That works. In my case, I have to maintain the cuts that were already done. This was from AMA links and transcoded to drives that I don't have. So I don't have the transcoded media. I cannot transcode the AMA clips again, because I can't relink the media in the first place. This puts me in a position of starting over. Fortunately I was dealing with selects reels, so the small percentage of clips that didn't relink could be imported fresh and over-cut.
