FWIW ... I tested Bouke's SOP to bring in the AMA clips fresh and then relink to the new AMA clips. No go. Nothing relinks using any of the possible 6.5 methods. The only way to relink is to relink the original AMA files to their associated media. That, of course, is where I started and that's the method where I lose TC.
The good news in all of this is that, in spite of all the lack of TC, the process survived transcoding and a Baselight roundtrip via AAF and comes out fine at the other end.
