We went to 5.5.1 and it's made the system more stable. The drives do go
semi-frequently though as we've found ourselves swapping out drives three
or four times in the last year. We purchased ours in 2006 and are running
the same server CPU.
We have a few seats that occasionally have mounting issues like needing to
restart to see new mounts, etc. Some of our issues were based on not having
the latest ATTO drivers on some of the fiber cards and older Manager
software on the client side. I assume you updated those when you did the
5.5.1 upgrade.
We've had a lot of issues with the system over it's lifespan but, knock on
wood, since we ironed out the kinks on the 5.5.1 upgrade, we've been pretty
good.
