I see this all the time. Surprised most people don't see it more often as
well.
I think it's a bug with the Avid Codec pack for QT player and certain Avid
codecs. I believe Avid Meridian Uncompressed is one. I also believe it is
only a playback bug in QT Player, and does not resemble what is actually in
the file. Unfortunately, there's not a lot of other options to QC except
bringing the file back into MC to check it.
