keyboard. I have M1>9 assined on all the other 'shift+ number keys'
and they work like a charm and I've managed to assign M2 to 'shift +
v' but I just can't make it stick on the 'shift + 2' key stroke. It's
certainly there on the keyboard display map tool, it just doesn't
work. It just goes 'ding'. It doesen't work if M2 is allocated to
just 'shift + 2' or 'shift + 2' and 'shift + v'.

I suggest:
Try a different keyboard. Maybe you have a bad '2' key . . . .
maybe. ;)
