Is this an ama plug specific to F3 or is this the same plug in that works with XDCam. From the thread it sounds like it's the same. If the plugin installer doesn't recognize 6.5 would it be as simple as dragging an existing 6.0 ama plug in for the Sony ama plugin from the folder, IIRC the AVX 2 / ama folder on a mac, or would this be something that would be left in place when upgrading to 6.5?
