On an informational note, the FSI monitors I have all output audio
de-embedded from the SDI stream in perfect sync with picture. This has been
a great help in solving the issue. We have a Leitch SDI DA card that
handles a separate video delay to secondary monitoring (large client view
plasma) which is calibrated to be in picture sync with the FSI.
Any station that doesn't use an FSI monitor as the primary uses a RANE
audio delay unit that can be set in milliseconds or half-frames. This is
measured easily using a Syncheck A/V delay measurement device.
