You are absolutely right Oliver except that in my world of long form drama most people in my surroundings are happily back to Avid.
Let's not loose track of how the fcp revolution became possible in 2000. There was major resentment in the Avid community about the price ($85k+)and a $999 alternative was worth the try. Then Walter came down with his blessing and the press did the rest.
It's just business.
