I agree with John. My initial comments concerned the editing, but of
course, you can't ignore the cameras -- lenses, placement, etc. To me,
use of fish-eyes, etc. draws attention to the filmmaking process. Not
always bad, but in situations like Bouke faced, I think it's vital to
focus attention on what's being photographed, not how's it's being
done. Same goes for camera placement. Unusual angles, done judicially,
can really enhance an appreciation of what's happening. Poor
positioning is a distraction. I've never worked with GoPros, but they
appear to have advantages in some situations (immersive action shots,
etc.). When photographing a symphony orchestra they offer a relatively
cheap multi-camera alternative, with some limitations, but in my
opinion, need to be deployed carefully to avoid a cheap-looking outcome.
