Conflict of priorities. I agree, but:
The main cam (real cam, on the director) was operated by a very nice DP that
i've spent some nights with,
and hope to do so again.
She know a shitload more about classical music than i do, and she ordered to
keep the pace down.
Besides, the client loves the director (probably he alone earns more than
the rest of the orchestra together...)
